Molten salt is an excellent medium for heat transfer and storage. The unique microstructure of carbon nanomaterials leads to good mechanical stability, low density, high thermal conductivity, strength, etc. addition molten form nanofluid can remarkably enhance the specific capacity conductivity reduce viscosity, which great importance increase storage density cost. Nevertheless, some challenges remain in study such nanofluids. main challenge dispersion stability nanomaterials. Therefore, improve research on nanofluids, this paper summarizes progress carbon-based worldwide including preparation methods improvement performance, performance. effects nanoparticle concentration, size, type performance are derived, shape analyzed while more promising nanofluids proposed. In addition, future problems that need be solved high-temperature salt-based briefly discussed.
